Heather Alexis (she/her)
Editor/ Post Supervisor/ Motion Graphics
Heather Alexis (she/her) is an emerging filmmaker based in NYC. Her passion lies in Post Production Editing and Screenwriting. Her previous Post Production editing and finishing work has been for Disney’s WABC-7, HBO, and independent Short Films. She is currently a Post Production Technician at Tisch School of the Arts where she teaches technical training seminars and oversees the editing suites/labs. She is currently pursuing her M.A in Psychology & Film at NYU Gallatin. She holds a BFA in Film and Television Production from NYU Tisch (Dec. 2020). Assistant Editor/ DIT/ Swing PD
Alyssa Hartwig is an NYC based Latina/South East Asian filmmaker actively working in all areas of post production. They graduated from NYU's Tisch School School of the Arts in May of 2022 with a focus in Post Production and minor in Producing. She's worked on a variety of projects in Entertainment including collaborations with content creators such as Georgenotfound and Sam & Colby as well as on projects like NBC's Coverage of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics which won her team a Sports Emmy in May of 2022. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, and screaming out her window to unsuspecting passersbys playing video games with friends.
Animator
Atlas A Lee-Reid is a non-binary, fat, white, queer visual artist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Zir autobiographical zines are available in Bluestockings Cooperative in Manhattan and Wasted Ink Distro in Phoenix, AZ, and has been featured in festivals such as Sounds About Riso 2022 and Queer Arts Winterfest. Ze is also currently pursuing a Masters degree from NYU in queer and trans filmmaking and artistic self-expression by marginalized communities. While not pursuing opportunities in the visual arts, Atlas spends zir time performing with TRANScend Sings all-trans choir and volunteering as social media coordinator for Shapeless Press, an anti-capitalist queer and trans indie zine press.
Brandon Pavlicek
Sound Designer and Mixer
Brandon Pavlicek an audio engineer based in Queens. He is extremely passionate about technology, often researching how equipment such as microphones, drum machines, and synthesizers are built while building his own. He holds a BFA in Film and Television Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Dec. 2020), where he specialized in sound mixing, design, and music production. He is currently an Associate Audio Engineer at Rockstar Games.
Nathan Rodriguez
VFX Artist
Nathan Rodriguez is a director, cinematographer, and post production gremlin from Grand Rapids, MI. He's spent the past six years hopping from one-take-wonder feature films to nationwide musical world tours and everything in between. When he isn't getting berated for watching too much reality tv, Nathan spends a copious amount of time cooking and researching his interior design choices.
Composer
Michael J. Melnik is a 2nd Year graduate student in the Media Scoring and Production program at the Frost School of Music. In his undergraduate studies he earned two B.M.s in Instrumental Performance and Music Composition at the University of Connecticut. There he studied percussion with Robert McEwan (Principal Percussionist of the U.S. Coast Guard band), and composition with recent GRAMMY® Award winner Kenneth Fuchs. In the past Michael was the Principal Percussionist of the UConn Symphony Orchestra and Co-Principal Percussionist of the UConn Wind Ensemble. He was a winner in the 2019 UConn Aria/Concerto Competition which awarded him the opportunity to perform the first movement of Emmanuel Sejourne’s Vibraphone Concerto with the UConn Symphony Orchestra. Currently Michael is studying Media Scoring with recent GRAMMY® Award winner Carlos Rafael Rivera (Queen's Gambit) and is working on various music tech related skills at Frost.
Habib Awen
Colorist
Habib is a self-taught Director, Cinematographer, Gaffer, Editor, and Colorist working in NYC with over 13 years in the film/video production industry. His clients range from rising new musicians to global automotive giants, international retailers, and food and beverage companies.
His main interests include cooking for his family, playing with his son Zahir, collecting out of print DVDs, visiting art & history museums, and getting lost in specialty grocery stores.
Alina van den Berg
Illustrations
Alina van den Berg (she/her) is a Brazilian writer and artist currently living in Washington, D.C. Alina graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in Creative Writing. She was awarded the William Rosenfeld Prize for her Honors thesis, a horror novella about the uncanny and the fear that comes with not being able to trust your own mind. During college she was also a recipient of the Kirkland Endowment grant, which she used to write and illustrate a graphic novel. One of her favorite recent projects was creating a collection of illustrations and speculative flash fiction pieces exploring the many symptoms of anxiety. These days, Alina spends her time studying foreign languages: she speaks Portuguese, French and is in the process of learning Korean. You can find her on Instagram at @alinavandberg
